Phishing Threat Detect: Government Services

Same sort of problem trying to log into MyGov. AVG says it detected "URL:Phishing" and blocked the access. This is a Windows 10 PC.
I can log in with a Mac no problem.

I was attempting to lo into my Account with a Government Service and AVG detect the UR as:

This site contains deceptive content

We have detected a variety of phishing items on login.***.gov.*** that might attempt to trick you into installing harmful software on your computer and revealing your sensitive personal information, such as passwords, bank account information, etc

his site contains deceptive content

In the top left corner ..left of the URL in the search bar the word "DANGEROUS" appears. I am using AVG Browser. I also have AVG Internet Security installed and fully updated with latest virus definitions. I always take the best steps n protecting my internet browsing, I also have subscription for: AVG VPN as well Password Protection along with Driver Updater and Tune Up.

I don't know why this could be happening. I've spoken to Technical Support in the relevant Government Agency and they are aware of similar calls for assistance but could not verify what I was seeing in AVG's Browser. The connection to the URL was aborted safely and is now blocked by AVG.

I also ran a couple of test on the IP (URL) and discovered 1 x error and 2 x warnings but no enough information to determine if the URL (IP) is potentially a serious issue.

What do I do now AVG?

NOTE: I have screenshots but there is no facility in your text editor to upload, could you please give me access to upload here ASAP?

I am also having this problem on my laptop and mobile phone app. Hope there is a fix soon as I need access

Until then you can add this website to the Exceptions.
AVG >> Menu >> Settings >> General >> Exceptions

Thanks for your suport Veeramani and I have reported the URL at the form you mentioned to use BUT why would I add the infected website to exceptions and proceed to login if this could be harmful to myPC and ID? Wouldn't that be like letting a dangerous creature into my home?

I have updated AVG Internet Security and a fresh reboot finds all is well now with no issues accessing my account on my.gov.au

Thanks for your support AVG!

PS is it possible to configure Outlook or Office 365 or MS Exchange to download email without having to manually disconnect AVG VPN? I find I always have to disconnect VPN to allow emails to arrive to my PC and then have to manually reconnect VPN when all have arrived.

Yes, Gotham City works fine, takes a bit longer to get emails to all accounts but doesn't prevent connection. I haven't tried Wonderland yet…maybe be later. At least now I dshouldn't need to disconnect and connect everytime. Cheers M8
