Please help uninstall previous versions of avg

I cannot access any of those tools; can you send me the uninstaller (3rd attempt at a response–what is the deal?)

We're glad to look into this & help you.
Initially, be informed that all apps cannot be uninstalled by dragging files to trash.
In this regard, we'd suggest you to check this article which has the steps to uninstall AVG Antivirus from MAC & follow the steps that you've missed (if any).

I put all the AVG files I could find in the trash and restarted, but some must remain because my brand new, just bought copy of avg wont install on mac because it still says there is a prior version; I think I need the uninstaller software.

Please help!
