A little disappointed that I haven't received a direct response as indicated, but I did see on a similar thread that I have been following that a fix had been developed. I have installed 6134 as instructed, and yes SSL scanning server is working now.
I've got AVG Internet Security on my copmuter (XP) and my wife's computer (Windows 7). We're using Thunderbird on both, and some time ago I set up manual POP servers for scanning SSL connections with Thunderbird, and they were working fine until yesterday, but now Thunderbird just sits there 'Connecting to 127.0.0.1…'
If I change the server settings in the Thunderbird accounts to bypass AVG and connect direct to the remote server, we can get emails.
This seems to concide with AVG program updating from build 6086 to 6122
Thanks Komal, I have used the SysInfo as requested.
Hopefully you (meaning AVG collectively) have noticed that there have been several similar posts, where SSL servers which previously worked have now stopped, all pointing at the update to 6122.
