Pop-up notifications

I'm running AVG Antivirus (Version 18.2 (build 99c8aa549be2) on MacOS (version 10.13). Notifications are disabled for AVG Antivirus in System Preferences. And yet AVG Antivirus is still generating annoying pop-ups in the righthand corner of my screen whenever virus definitions are updated, which sometimes is multiple times a day.  Does anyone know how to permanently disable these notifications?

Yes. I already followed EXACTLY those instructions.  And the "new" version that the installer put on my machine was 18.2, the same version that I stared with.  Again, I'll you where I can find the installer for verison 18.3 for MacOS.

Christopher, I understand the inconvenience.
Try updating AVG Antivirus and check the status.
Open AVG Antivirus interface and to the top right corner you can find the option to "check for updates".

Christopher, I apologize for the previous information.
The latest version of AVG Antivirus in Mac is 18.2 and the next version (18.3)v is under testing period.
Please share the screenshot of the popups appearing from AVG to assist further.

This will not occur when you have the latest 18.3 version of AVG Antivirus installed in Mac.
Please update AVG Antivirus to the latest version and check the status.

I can't seem to find the 18.3 installer for Mac OS X.  WOuld you be kind enouugh to help me locate it?  Also tried to update via the application itself and it is representing that version 18.2 is the most updated version.
