Hi Samantha,
Let's have a look into this together.
May I ask the version of AVG Internet Security installed on your PC? To find: Open your program > Menu > About.
Share the screenshot of the threat message with 'See details' in the bottom-right corner displayed.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on "Answer" & then click on the "Image" [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Hi, I have an AVG pop up that appears constantly on my computer. It tells me that "the threat is secured" AVG has safely aborted a connection as it was infected with SMB:CVE-2017-0144 (Expl). It drives me mad as it comes up all the time (sometimes every 5 mins, sometimes one after another after another) and is very disrupting to try to work with. I had a chat with my IT guy and he says that he does not know how to stop this notification coming up. Great that it is stopping it get through, however the notification is sending me around the bend! How can I fix this very annoying issue?
Thanks,
Sam
