I appreciate your efforts, John.
Regarding the sound issue, I request you to get in touch with the serviio support to check this further.
Thank you.
Hi John.
We're here to help.
Are you able to access Serviio media server only when you disable AVG firewall? If you haven't verified it yet, please click this link for instructions to disable AVG firewall temporarily to verify the issue.
Microsoft updated my Windows 10 system recently and Serviio V1.11.1 no longer works. I haven't found why the upgrade would break serviio but it did also break some printer drivers so…
Anyway, serviio say "Make sure you open TCP 8895 and UDP 1900 ports in firewall" I cannot find where port exception information is stored in AVG. I have allowed sensitive data shield for Serviio under avg-> settings-> general-> blocked & allowed apps.
The online help comments were from 2015 and a completely different version of AVG so not much help there 5 years later.

for some unknown reason, serviio is working with AVG now except for the sound.
I turned off AVG as you suggested and serviio worked, video only, no sound.
It was still working the same when I turned AVG back on.
However as I noted, I have no sound when serviio is playing something.
I have checked the audio cables (I have video + left/right audio) and they seem OK.
Could AVG block just the audio channel now? Seems hard to believe but it might be a different port?
BTW, as far as I know I did not open either TCP 8895 or UDP 1900.
I appreciate your efforts, John.
