Hi David,
This isn't the experience we want you to have. Let us attempt to make this easier for you.
In future, if you require support, visit this link & choose the desired support channel.
We're more than glad to help you through this channel. This isn't the usual behavior of AVG.
However, if you suspect that AVG is causing the issue, you can uninstall it & check.

I can't find a way to leave AVG a direct message (so sadly typical) so am using this means, and trust you will help get my message to the right place.
As a courtesy I am advising you that I am uninstalling my subscription because I am having strange problems with my email accounts at Gmail and att.net (yahoo). I am not receiving messages of some (not all) senders, and my contacts files for both apps are detached somehow. I can't find a cause for this but it's come up about the same time I installed AVG and Malware Bytes. Is there an adjustment I need to make somewhere in the app? Or is the app simply selectively blocking for whatever reason? Since AVG does not show "problem" files it identifies, I can't tell if the problem has anything to do with AVG, but it's my last option to deinstall it. I know these email apps are trashy software, but can't spot the issue and att/yahoo tech support says they fixed it but didn't and Google support is a bad joke. So this my last resort. If I can establish AVG and Malware are not part of the problem by seeing how things go without them, I will (try to) reinstall. Thank you.
