Hi,
I need to have a method to prevent a user to temporarily disable AVG via the icon in the taskbar.
I want to use AVG in my children PCs, to protect them against virus and I am using the firewall to block them to access certain sites with specific applications
AVG has a password to protect against certain actions but none of them apparently prevents a user to just disable AVG.

I also tried for a way to disable/hide AVG icon in the taskbar but apparently there is no way to hide the icon.
I believe this is a very important function, I mean to prevent a standard user to disable AVG even if only temporarily.
thanks

Thanks I will try that

You can submit your feedback via AVG Internet Security program you have installed.

Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu -> About -> click on Submit Feedback to share your concern with our developers.

Renato, we don't have any separate options to hide the icon to disable AVG.

However, you can submit a feedback request to our developers with in the AVG Internet Security program.

Hi,
Yes, I would like to do that.
Is there a link for submitting this requests a form or an email?
regards
thanks

Hi Santhosh
Well, this hides only from the "main section" in taskbar, but the icon will still be there, only in the "hidden" section of the taskbar.
This hidden section is very easily accessible and of course the user could also revert back the action you exemplified, so this is not a solution.
Please don´t try to answer me with easy fixes, I am referring to a setting in AVG to really hide the button.
Better then this would be a setting near the password to prevent temporary disabling AVG.
To my knowledge this is something that is lacking in AVG, if I am right tell me if this could be developed in a near future, if not I believe I have to change to another AV solution.
Thanks
Thanks
