Printer Function With AVG

I just had a new desktop computer installed with Windows 11 as my operating system.  I have a Brother MFC-J4335DW deskjet color printer and a Brother HL-L2460DW laser printer (B/W) hooked up to the system.  The deskjet printer is hooked up to the desktop computer wirelessly and the laser printer is wired into the system.  Both printers work well when AVG is uninstalled but don't work at all when AVG is installed and activated.  Interestingly I also have both printers hooked up wirelessly to a laptop that is running Windows 10 and AVG and I have no problem printing on the laptop with either printer.

Any ideas as to why my printers are not working with the new system and what the fix might be?
Thanks,
Jon

Hello Jon,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We understand that you are unable to use printers when AVG Internet Security enabled. We'll certainly check and help you out.
Basic rules (previously known as System rules) in AVG Internet Security are a range of Enhanced Firewall rules that control network traffic for the most common connection types related to specific system capabilities.
Please follow the below steps and check if printer access is enabled in private networks:
-Open AVG AntiVirus and click the Web & Email tile on the main application screen.
-Click  Settings (the gear icon) in the top-right corner of the screen.
-Click Basic protection ▸ Enhanced Firewall in the left panel.
-Click View Firewall rules.
-Select the Basic rules tab.
The following options are available on the Basic rules screen:
-Allow incoming file and printer sharing over SMB protocol: Authorizes other PCs in the network to access shared folders and printers on your PC.
