I am having this same problem and I have tried all of the "solutions" listed at https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=What-to-do-when-AVG-installation-is-failing and I still have not been able to get the program to work. I have also tried downloading the newest AVG Free version and the program is unable to install. The error code I receive is 0XC0070643

hi i'm having troubles downloading. it downloads but before i can put my email and such is tells me

For which AVG program you are getting this error code?
Is it for AVG antivirus or PC Tuneup?
If it is for antivirus, please mention whether you are using free, trial or paid version.
Also if you have any other third party antivirus installed then please remove it and only then you can install AVG Antivirus.

its for AVG anitvirus free edition. i have removed the other antivirus ones and still not working i've even restarted the computer several times

Summer, please go to C:\ drive and check on the program files folders whether the antivirus program that you have uninstalled folders are still present, if it is present please delete it manually and restart your PC. Start the installation of AVG Antivirus free  using this link: http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_Protection_Free_1606.exe and let us know the status of the installation.

I'm having the exact same problem.  It started yesterday that AVG wouldn't update.  Tried the reset and removal tool multiple times.  No AVG is in program files.  Tried installing numerous times and getting the same error code as above.  I saved the install log file.

i just tried and still the same thing happened.
