Problem saving a Word document

I suggest you to save the file a different location and check if you're able to save it.

If the issue persists, I recommend you to reinstall AVG Internet Security and check if it resolve the issue.

All good, Sarath. I eventually reinstalled AVGIS and that seems to have fixed the problem, thanks to you and Midhun.

Thanks for your email. I disabled the AVG Internet Security as you suggested, and there ws no problem in saving a new file. It also opened properly when I closed and then reopened Word Starter.
I cannot attach a screen shot as requested because the link you provided to an article did not work and I cannot figure out how to DIY. However, the wording which appears is "Word cannot complete the save due to a permission error" followed by details of the file and its path/location.
Does this help? I am more than happy to persevere if you need more.

After disabling the AVG Internet Security, check if the issue persists.

I recently renewed by my AVG Internet Security (multi-device) and applied it to a laptop I use infrequently. I find I cannot save any Word Starter document I create on the laptop, although it previously worked faultlessly when it was running the free AVG program. I keep getting a message blaming a "permission error". Coincidence or something more?

By way  of explanation…when I tried to save the file the first time, I got the "Check the drive…"message.
The file name appeared in my Document list, so I clicked on it and got the "Cannot save" message.
Hope this all makes sense to you.
