I recently bought and installed AVG AntiTrack which set my location as 'Ireland' - I live in England so that was good.
However, I tried to buy something online but I was refused because my computer had told them I was in 'Ireland'. So I uninstalled VAG AntiTrack hoping to cure the problem. But that didn't stop the problem and things have got worse.
My BT internet provider won't let me login to my e-mail account, even after changing my password a few times. After two very long telephone calls to the e-mail experts at BT it appears that the BT Server won't let me in because my computer has told it the request is coming from Ireland and the BT Server knows I actually live in England. I can login from my smart phone because (thankfully) I don't have AntiTrack on it.
How do I now stop my computer saying I live in Ireland and start to use e-mails on my computer again?
Regards
Colin
Hi Colin,
The purpose of AVG Anti-Track is to keep your identity safe from the latest online tracking techniques.
We believe that this should be due to AVG Secure VPN.
Please open AVG Secure VPN program on your computer and check which location is chosen.
If it is not related to your geographical location, then do select the one that is related to your location and check the status.
Thank you.
