I have this exact problem.
Is AVG actively working on it, and when can a solution be expected.?
It's disturbing that you have advised disabling AVG firewall in favour of Windows Firewall. It makes me wonder if I'm paying for something I don't need.
Having said that, I've had AVG for years and have had no complaints until this issue came up. It's important to me and, probably to many others.
I did and it worked fine till i reactivate the parental supervision. And guess what… That's the feature I wanted.
well, it hasn't really been resolved at all. I want to put up a login-account on my pc for the kids. NAnd with parrental control. That was the reason I had to put up an additional account for them. But it seems avgwfpa.sys makes that impossible.
Hello Vince. I would request you to disable parental controls once and try to login to the account.
I made a children's account on my windows pc with parental supervision but when I log in to try it out for the first time, i get an error indicating an 'unexpected kernel mode trap' linked to 'avgwfp.sys'
Obvisously I don't want that to happen so I could use some pointers other than deleting avg
thanks in advance for those who reply.

meanwhile I've found another topic on this. For others to find : AVG Community

Hello Vince. I am glad to hear that your issue got resolved. Please feel free to contact us should you need any further assistance.
Hello Vince. I asked you to disable parental control just to make sure it is the same issue that is going on the thread you found. Unfortunately, there is not a fix yet and I request you to uninstall AVG firewall and turn windows firewall on.
