Hello Roger,
I regret to inform you that the feature (whether to allow/block apps communication every time app tries to connect to internet) in AVG Firewall is not possible in AVG 2017 version as it ask you only first time the application is connecting and then AVG remembers the decision. I really appreciate your feedback, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have added this to the list of possible improvements in our AVG 2017 version.

Old system had allow / stop button on every software application asking to access Internet - which could be reversed at will.   New version only allows you to deny or approve.

Problem is you can't reverse a denied decision if you can't recall the program as it will never ask again.

And if you can recall it - the process to restore permission is very technical to non-techs like me.
