Problem with MacOS:PuAgent-AZ [PUP]

Hi David,

We understand your concern.

Yes, AVG is aware of this disruption. However, it is not a false detection, and in fact is a legitimate detection.

The reason for this detection is that the program was determined by AppEsteem, which is a third party reputable CyberSecurity authority, to be a deceptor. The following AppEsteem FAQ, https://is.gd/8oc4JM, clarifies the deceptor classification.

You are encouraged to communicate your concern with CleanMyMac, so that they may comply with necessary guidelines not to be determined PUP.

This disruption is obviously an inconvenience for you. If you still want to use the application, beyond disabling scanning of PUPs for File Shield, the only other potential work-around solution, is to set an exception for the file shield (screenshot attached). After setting the exception, it may be necessary to reinstall the CleanMyMac application.

I trust this explanation and information help clarify your concern.

Thank you.
