Problem with Outlook... because of AVG?

Hello Donald,

We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.
Could you elaborate what exactly happens when you try to access Outlook?
Do you receive any thrat/error message from AVG?
Do you access Outlook via browser or the Outlook program?
Have you tried temporarily disabling your AVG Internet Security & checked for this issue?
If you haven't, please refer to this article & temporarily disable your AVG Internet Security.

For a few hours now, I am unable to use Outlook properly. A never-ending file keep it from running properly. The file is called:
pmcdn.avast.com/images/icons/icon-envelope-tick-round-green-avg-v1.png
Since "AVG" was in the name, I was wondering if other AVG customers have had the same problem and, more important, how do I get rid of it?

Hi Midhun,

This is very weird because I shut the computer down for the evening and when I came back, Outlook was working fine again. Still, it could happen again, right?
What happened is that Outlook simply wouldn’t open.  It would download, or try to locate, or contacting that famous file.
This is what I mean: I let it roll for 2 hours and nothing moved:

By the way « en cours » means “in process” . French computer, yes. J

If you can help, in case this happens again, I would be very grateful.

Thanks,
Donald.

Thanks again,

Thank you for sharing us the screenshot, which provided a better clarity, Donald.
From your description, it seems that AVG program is set to add a signature at the end of emails & Outlook seems to be stuck in the process of loading that file.
If this issue re-occurs, please : Open AVG program - Menu - Settings - Basic protection (left pane) - Email shield - Disable 'Add signature at end of emails' & then reopen Outlook to check.
Additionally, you can try repairing AVG program once to ensure that all the services are running fine & latest version is installed.
