Hi, I posted yesterday as follows:
I ran a one-off AVG tune up two days ago and my computer is now unrecognisable. I can't even open basic things like Excel or Word. I'm on windows 8.1 and even the big icon screen has disappeared. I click on short cuts and they all seem not connected any more. I have a touch screen (which I don't use) but can't get rid of the "helpful" hints telling me to swipe in from the left etc. It's even changed my keyboard to US style! Any advice welcome.

1. Open AVG PC TuneUp program.
2. Click on the Rescue Center on the right bottom corner.
3. Click on Undo Changes.
4. Select and restore the changes made by the AVG PC TuneUp program.

I'm grateful for the response but my question is this:
There is an icon on my desktop (AVG PC TuneUp) but when I click on it, it doesn't open (like most of the icons since I ran the Tune Up). Can you help me with how I can open the tune up program? Otherwise it seems I'll have to download the free trial again and install it, but as far as I can see that will immediately then start doing the tune up, so I daren't do that without checking first to see what's best.
Sorry to be a pest, but your assistance will be much appreciated.
i had the same thing happen to me. i was told to delete the pc tune up and reinstall it.
