Yesterday, after opening my laptop, AVG shows the next message: "We are updating some components… Please wait" (I don't remember the exact message.)
I waited and after updating, no restart required. I worked for about an hour and then I needed to scan a usb stick. Righting click on usb's' icon i face a menu that has TWO options with AVG icons:
1) scan 'F'
2) scan with AVG
Whatever option i choosed none worked.
Then I restarted my system in order to solve this issue.
Nothing. The problem remains.
I try to uninstall AVG. It does not allows me!
I forced uninstalled every component of AVG via REVO UNINSTALLER.
I restart again. OK! There is no entry of AVG in control panel.
Perfect. Then I try to clean install AVG free but it shows me the next message:
"You must uninstall the existing AVG installation first, before you begin this new installation" (I don't remember the exact message.).
What a messy situation!!
I quited and temporary trust windows defender for my system's security.
Can you help me to reinstall AVG free or I have to search something else??
