Problems installing TuneUp AND with TuneUp remover

Earlier today I asked for help with the following problem - Have been using PC TuneUp 2014 happily with my Windows 10 PCs and just bought it on a new disc (for an extra licence) to put on a laptop also now running W10. But during installation it froze near the end and gave the message. "This program was started in compatability mode. As this can lead to undesirable effects, you should disable the compatibility settings. Do you want to run the application anyway?". Had never even heard of "compatability settings" so I looked them up and they are something to do with Explorer - which Windows 10 does not have! Does anyone have any ideas please?

   You replied giving me a link to the TuneUp Remover program - I installed this and it started but just hung for 45 minutes until I gave up, saying "Work in Progress - Please be patient". After 45 mins I gave up.
So what now please?

Well, I followed your instructions as far as they went: I entered safe mode and ran the TuneUp removing program. This seemed to work fine this time, so thanks for that.
You didn't tell me how to exit mode so I looked it up and did so. I then inserted the TuneUp 2014 disc again and tried to install it again, as your colleague told me. But the same thing happened as last time, ie it froze before the installation finished and the message…
"This program was started in compatability mode. As this can lead to undesirable effects, you should disable the compatibility settings. Do you want to run the application anyway?". 
… appeared again.  As last time answering neither "yes" or "no" to this question made any difference, except that answering "no" caused it to close the installation.
So I am back where I started. What do you suggest please? Thanks. David
