Problems with 17.5.3022

Please accept my apologies with regards to the disruption this may have caused to you. I would request you to disable AVG Online shield and AVG Firewall components separately and check if the problem is resolved upon disabling either of the features.

Since this latest upgrade I am having problems downloaded POP email into Outlook.  Getting this message three out of four synch attempts.  It will download mail periodically on it's own.  "Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC1A) : 'Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method."  I'm also experiencing very slow web performance, especially navigating page to page.  I've already run "Repair" and rebooted several times.  If I shut down all components from running, the problem goes away.  any ideas out there?  AVG can't seem to do anything but apologize and ask people to uninstall-reinstall…  

It appears that the firewall is causing these problems.  I should also report that about a week ago, I noticed that when I checked the Maintenance tab in my Tray, there was a message that my Windows firewall was not turned on.  I tried to turn it back on, but kept getting a message that it was controlled by AVG.  I'm not sure if that has any bearing on this problem, but it's certainly a suspicious coincidence.

Thank you for checking it for me. Please check if AVG firewall is configured with below recommended settings or not.
Open AVG Internet Security->Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Network Profile and change it to Private.
Open AVG Internet Security->Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Policies->System Rules and set all rules to "Enabled".
Make sure the above settings are applied and let us know if the issue persist.
