Unfortunately changing my location would not help at all since I am in London in the UK and the VPN automatically goes to that location which is as it should be for me to access BBC IPlayer. Its just that AVG Secure VPN seems to be deteceted by BBC IPlayer as a VPN. Also the 'internet blocked' issue with AVG Secuer VPN on start up is now affecting my other PCs and laptop (for which I have a multiple user AVG account). I now have to click on 'unblock the internet' to get anywhere on my other PCs and laptop as well as my main PC and have to leave AVG Secure VPN in the off mode. Not very good.

I keep getting messages from AVG VPN when I boot up my PC that Internet Access has been blocked which I have to then manually click on the unblock button to then allow my PC access to the internet. AVG VPN also keeps halting my access to the internet and I have to leave my PC on for around 15-20 minutes for things to settle down before I can use the internet. Also when AVG VPN is on there are sites like the BBC which return a message saying 'we are unable to provide this service (playing BBC news channel on IPlayer for example) because of your location' - then if I reboot my PC and switch AVG VPN off first then I can get access to BBC IPlayer. Does anyone have any idea if these are general issues with AVG VPN?
Didn't make much difference and the problems persists with access to various media players being blocked even though I am in London, and when AVG VPN is on and says London, and then even when AVG VPN is subsequently switched off - I have now unistalled AVG VPN now my internet access and access to media players has improved vastly. Needless to say I won't be renewing when my current subscription ends. I will be looking for something less cumbersome

Regrettably, certain streaming websites have taken counter measures to block users from accessing their content through Secure VPN servers.
While we do continue to add new servers and IP addresses, they are quite fast to identify the same.
However, you can try connecting to one of the Streaming or Torrenting servers/locations that are available in AVG Secure VPN & check for the issue.
Also, please enable the Mimic VPN protocol in your AVG Secure VPN by following the below steps:
Open AVG Secure VPN > Menu > Settings > Protocols > Select Mimic.
Regarding the internet connection issue, could you check & let us know whether you've enabled the "Kill Switch" feature in your AVG Secure VPN?
