Hello,
I managed to get both PCs to run avg 2015 [free version] and ensured they have the latest updates.
They both now pass the Whole Computer Scan with nothing detected.
At no time did avg say it found or removed anything whilst before [pc using avg v9] it found loads but could not remove them.
Am I ok now!
Hello Desley. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. The problems with AVG rebooting while scanning is due to the recent update of AVG. We have already escalated this to our concerned team and for few of our customers updating the AVG program again fixed the issue. I would request you to update the AVG program once and then try scanning AVG.
For your Trojan horse issue, I have sent you an email for further instructions to be followed to our additional support in fixing this issue. Thank you.
Hi
As of yesterday we have experienced issues with 2 of our computers that use AVG (paid edition). The first computer scans to about 20% and then shuts down and reboots. The second computer after renewing our AVG license now reports a multitude of trojan horse agent 5.ades. We would be greatful for any information anybody, AVG especially, could give us to fix these issues.

Hello steve. I do understand your concern. I kindly request you to update the program once and try to scan the system. In case if the issue persist please follow these steps to send us diagnostic information from your computer. This information will allow us to analyze the situation and provide you with a solution:
Click on this link http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe to download the AVG SysInfo tool.
Run the downloaded tool.
Click Continue to agree with AVG’s license agreement and privacy policy. AVG SysInfo will now gather the data.
Once the diagnostic output is ready, you may add comments, or click Attach file or Screenshot to provide us with extra information.
Fill in your email address, and then click Send output.
We will analyze the received files and provide you with further information. Thank you.
I have exactly the same thing on two PCs.
I have update to the latest update of avg and I have tried multiple malware tools to try and solve this to no avail.
AVG seems to find the agent 5 trojan / files but can't remove them.
This is a complete nightmare as both computers are now unusable.
I can't understand how the trojan has got on the pcs both infected at the same time, one of them is used very little ie can this trojan infect other pcs on my home network?
Help!
