Click on "Menu->About" and check whether you have 20.5 version.
Perform repair of AVG Internet Security as mentioned in this article and keep monitoring the status.

Hello. Similar to Margaret Waugh, since the last update every morning when I switch my computer on I find several parts of the system are switched off and I have to switch them back on. I tried re-installing the software and now I don't get the option for Anti-spam. Why?

Yes I have version 20.5, and I have already tried performing a repair, and re-installing the software. If you switch on or restart the PC you usually find something is switched off. although the banner in the taskbar tells you "you are protected" (The usual culprits are Behavious Shield, Ransomware Protection and Password Protection - 1, 2 or all 3). It was when I re-installed the software that I lost anti-spam. I've tried downloading the file to re-install the software multiple times but when I try to customise, the anti-spam option is no longer shown.
