I'm sorry to hear about this. I request you to disable "Enable AVG self protection module" (please open AVG Free Antivirus > menu > settings > Troubleshooting > uncheck Enable AVG self protection module) and check if your CPU usage decreases.

A good anti virus is using all of the CPU processing power. Processor is running at99% will not load home screen properly on edge and cannot navigate to other sites
