Problems with Word secured environment - due to AVG Tune Up?

Sorry for the inconvenience, I will help you with the issue .
In AVG PC Tuneup click All Functions and then Click Open Rescue Center .
And then restore changes made by AVG PC TuneUp.

My wife purchased some time ago AVG Tune Up. Today we discovered that she cannot open some Word files. After investigation it appears Word files that were NOT produced by her cannot be opened anymore. Such files are opened in protected environment, the computer then mentions "MS Word (protected environment) does not work anymore", and then after clicking "esc" it says that an error occurred when opening the file in Word.
Any advice if the issue could be due to AVG, and if, what can we do?

Thanks for the quick reply. In the mean time we have indeed done this. However, problem remains!
We already reinstalled Office fully, with activation code and all - same result.
To be certain that the problem is caused by AVG Tune Up, is there a way to disable AVG Tune Up (temporarily)? We of course could uninstall AVG Tune Up, but that's then a wasted investment and we still will not know if the problem would be cured… So thanks to let us know how we can temporarily disable AVG Tune Up…

Stop!!! We found it! We have put AVG Tune Up in Standard mode … and that has now made the difference!! Great! Life is good!!!
