Hi Michael,
We're glad to look into this & help you.
As we're uncertain about the exact pop up that you receive, would you be so kind to share us the screenshot of it for better clarity?
Also, we've discontinued support for TuneUp Utilities. However, you'll be able to use it on your computer.
Can anyone tell me if I can simply deactivate the TuneUp Program Deactivator?
I saw something about adding or removing components, but I'm hoping to, at least, make it stop giving me a pop-up every time I start the computer.
Using TUUtilities 2014 and I have the box unchecked under Rescue Center Protection settings.
Windows 7x64 on a Dell Latitude E6520.
Michael, you were able to attach the screenshot here.
It is evident from the screenshot that the notification is appearing from "TuneUp Utilities" program and not AVG TuneUp.
We would like to inform you about the EOL (End of Life) of TuneUp Utilities product and they belong to Cleverbridge company.
There is no technical support available for the product and if the users need help, we request them to get our AVG tuneup product.
You can get into TuneUp Utilities program settings and see whether you have option to disable the notifications.
Lower right, from the quick launch section. There's nothing I want to deactivate, so I'd like to make it stop reminding me.

Michael, instead of providing the image URL here, we request you to attach it in your next post.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
