As previously stated, the computer will not boot in safe mode. This is not just an inconvenience; this is likely to be a very costly "mistake" caused by your program. I have been happy with AVG until now.

We sincerely apologize for the difficulties you are currently experiencing. We request you to download and create the AVG Rescue CD on some other device and then use it on your computer.
