Hello first last , I strongley suggest you to update your AVG to version 2014 , becasue the 2013 has become very unsafe and unstable , due to the evolving varieties of malware! you can download AVG free 2014 here :  Download Free Antivirus Software for PC | AVG Virus Protection or a trial for AVG inetnet security here : AVG Internet Security Software | Online Protection | Free Trial if your problems are not fixed with a program update , please let me know :slight_smile: Barry AVG VIP/HOF/GURU

Please try upgrade to 2014 as suggested by barry.
If it doesn't help provide us with diagnostic output using this tool (http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe) and please add detailed description of issue.

Using AVG 2013, during the last few Full Computer Scans, I noticed that the progress bar reaches to 65% and then stops.    The count of objects scanned continues to grow, however.   I approximate at 2500000 to 3000000 as the count of scanned objects at/about the time the progress bar reaches 65% and stops.

This behavior caught my attention the first time when I noticed that what appeared to be a scan 2/3 of the way to completion was suddenly done.   I assumed, at first, that the final 1/3 of the scan was skipped.   I redid the entire scan, and that is when I noticed that the object count continues to climb, even thought the progress bar is stuck.

Ideas for cause ?
