Yesterday when I logged in and checked my AVG, as I do every day, I found that the Computer protection section and the Hacker attack section had been switched off. This is not the first time I have seen this as it has happened, I think, 3 times before in the last year or so. As I did not do this, and nobody else has access to my PC or knows any of my details or logins I am at a loss as to how this is happening. I thought that the idea of having protection was that it stopped this sort of thing happening, and I am worried that somehow access is being gained by hackers, and that they are disabling these sections in order to examine my computer. As I do not do online banking or store personal details or passwords on my PC there is not a lot for them to find, but it is still very worrying and would stop me from considering using my PC for anything further, I have run a scan each time which has come back clear, but would like to understand how this is happening?
