OK I did the AVG Remover, and tried the reinstall twice, each time I get "Installation failed"  "Sorry we ran into a problem during installation" (0xE0010058: Access is denied.) When I click on "Find out what might have gone wrong.), just as before it brings me back here.

By the way is'nt there a quicker way to get here other than having to scroll through several pages…

Send me the same instructions, or refund my upgrade. You should have had the answer here for everyone to see. There are so  many problems now and after many years as your customer, I am just about ready to change to another securityi program, especially one without all the damn advertising to buy more damn products.

 

I am registered so send me information with the same identical problem. Nothing works here, same as Richard.

Main screen shows "Protection disabled, Protection will be automatically enabled after PC restart."  Restart does nothing, clicking "Fix Now" does nothing. When I go to the menu page I cannot change the Off to On for Online Shield, Secure DNS, or Firewall.  I just put this machine in service and Installed AVG last week.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We would request you to uninstall AVG using AVG Removal tool and then you can reinstall AVG program on your computer.

Please click on the below link to run AVG remover tool :
http://files-download.avg.com/util/tools/AVG_Remover.exe to completely uninstall your AVG program from your PC.

NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the C drive and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.

Once you are done with the remover tool please try installing the AVG program by clicking the following link:
http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/Internet_Security_1824.exe

I did as suggested, got this message.  "Repair failed, Sorry we ran into a problem during initialization.
Fiond out what might have gone wrong.  (0xE0010058: Access is denied.)  When I clicked on "Find out what might have gone wrong." I am forwarded to the support page again.
