Let's uninstall AVG Internet Security using AVG Clear and AVG Remover tools as suggested here https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Uninstall-AVG-software-Clear-Remover and reinstall AVG program to check the status.

Dear Sarath, copuld you please answer my question: is the protection really stopped or comes only this headline of the programme's first page out to keep the user busy?
Because if not stopped then I will accept this. This problem (I use this software as a freelancer for job) makes me busy with this product. Because if I look on my functions the programme tells me everything is on activity and is  in green light. If this functions all are out of activity I think there must be red light isn't it?

1.) Uninstall AVG Internet Security from control panel and refer the below article to install.

AVG Internet Security says protection is disabled. It does not work to restart the computer (I have tried three times), nor to press the "fix it now"- button. Also, I have updated both the program and the virus definitions. Nothing works. I need help!

Martina, I'd like to confirm that this is an issue with user interface and assure all protection features of AVG are active and your PC is protected. Please uninstall AVG using AVG Clear tool as suggested by Sarath and reinstall it to verify the issue.
