I was running AVG protection on my Win 10 laptop which ran fine for a month or so and then I experienced problems wiht the laptop logging in. Once that was resolved, I got an error message regarding AVG no running. I ran the uninstall tool successfully and tried unsuccessfully to reinstall to fix it and I get an error message every time. Thoughts?

When I run AVG_Remover, only "AVG Zen" appears on the list. I select it for removal, the avg_remover runs apparently successfully and prompts to reboot. However, after the reboot, when I run avg_remover again, "AVG Zen" is still listed. I checked the list of installed software (via control panel) and AVG Zen does not appear on the list. Still, I deleted the AVG Remove folder and ran the AVG_Protection_Free_698.exe installer and get the same errors listed in the original post.
