Protection is disabled error message

It seems the AVG program failed to install the latest program updates. I would suggest you to uninstall AVG program completely as per the instructions in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product and reinstall it.

Refer to steps in this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Internet-Security-or-Premium-Security on how to download and install AVG Internet Security.

Hi,

I have AVG Internet Security and am well within my subscription period, but my home screen has a big red message across the top saying "Protection is Disabled - Protection will be automatically re-enabled after restart", but no matter how much I restart the message remains.  All the component icons below are green and showing protection.  I have looked through every memory option to try and resolve it and cannot find anything, and the "Fix Now" button just takes me to the updates page - and everything is updated.

Any ideas?
