I suggest you repair your AVG and check if that fixes the issue.

Even though I've updated the program and virus definitions and restarted several times, I am still getting the "Protection is Disabled. Protection will be automatically enabled after PC restart" message. All the components listed underneath have green check marks on them, so I have no idea if I'm protected or not and I don't know how to fix this.
