I turned on my PC to see this message popped up on the main app page, and I've already tried restarting my PC like it says to, but that didn't help any.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

That's unusual.

In this case, we will reinstall AVG and check if that fix the issue.

Uninstall AVG Internet Security from the control panel and click on this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection to install the latest version of AVG Internet Security.

Austin, this isn't the expected behavior.
Please try removing AVG traces using our remover tools and check the status.
Run AVG remover followed Clear tool as mentioned (here).
NOTE: If there are no AVG program found, click on "Run Anyway" to proceed with the removal.
To install AVG Internet Security, follow the steps as mentioned (here).
Keep us informed about the status.
