Putting Programs to sleep with Tuneup

I did as instructed, however, it still is not putting the programs to sleep

We request you to repair the AVG PC TuneUp program by referring to this article, then restart your PC and check if you could put the program to sleep.

Whenever I select sleep next to a program in Tuneup, it just spins…it never puts the programs to sleep.  I have tried it in turbo and standard mode.  Doesn't matter if it is a little program that is not taking up much processing or a big one, or weather I choose one, a few  or all.

I have let it process over night once/
Any ideas?
