Thank you
I have the exact same issue (v17.3.3011 and from Zen v17.3.3443.0). The items remain selected for about 1-2 seconds which gives you just enough time to DELETE them (if you're quick) but not to select one of the other drop-down options - I had several false positives (Nirsoft utilities) and one other file which I wanted to "SEND FOR ANALYSIS", but was unable.
Another frustration is that the Quarantine screen cannot be expanded width-wise so the items' file names are displayed truncated and you only see their upper folder levels. Also there's no context-sensitive right-click menu to get more details about them.
However, on a positive note, my system's performance is much improved after the update from AVG 2016 (v16.151.8007).
I have the same issue, 3 files were quarrentined and checking either an individual file or the select all
checkbox DOES NOT STAY CHECKED in order to select the retore option. ALSO the information on the quarrentined files cannot be selected to see the COMPLETE file information entry! I would NOT be in this situation if after the unsolicited upgrade to version 17.3.3011 had provided some soret of info on the Boot-Scan option to tell me that a restart would NOT bring up a screen to see what was happening after preforming a reboot! I could tell there was activity going on by the flickering of my drive light led, but I had a BLANK monitor screen! NO progress info WHATSOEVER!.. I have turned a lot of other users on to avg over the years, but now it is starting to look like it is time to look for another antivurus software package. I hope agv get's their act together an makes thier software usable again. I hope they get the message!
Hello Ken,
We have escalated this case to the concerned team. They have promised that the issue has been cascaded to the developer team and they have started to work on a fix. This issue should be resolved soon. We appreciate your time and co-operation.
Thank you
Exactly the same problem. Oh, it is so frustrating!!!
AVG, please fix the following problems!
1) Quarantine window needs to be expandable so that we can see the full path of the files that are in quarantine
2) Give us back the ability to decide what to do with the files in quarantine! Now the files cannot be selected - they get deselected in a split second after you select them.
My current subscription expires in a couple of months. If this doesn't get fixed I will not be extending in. The above problem is a deal breaker for me…
Hi Ken,
We understand your concern and this issue is already escalated to concerned team and they are working on this issue. The issue will be resolved as soon as possible. We suggest you to keep patience.
Thank you.
Hello Guy,
We request you to repair the "AVG Protection" by following the instructions below and check if that works. Here are the instructions: 1. Go to Start -> Control Panel.

2. Open (Programs) -> Programs and Features, or Add or Remove Programs.
3. Select AVG Protection in the list of programs.
4. Click the Change or Change/Remove button.
5. Select Repair.
6. Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the installation.
7. Restart your computer.
Feel free to contact us for further help.
Thank you.
So I have a temporary fix that should work as long as you have a backup of your files, apps, etc.
1) In AVG go to Menu > Settings > Exceptions > File Paths > then enter the directory of the files that are being flagged.
2) Restore files/appss to the directory you just excluded from being scanned
NOTE: I also changed the "Enable CyberCapture" option to "Allow me to decide" in hopes it doesn't automatically block my files again.
AVG did not flag anything after the fact but of course this is a temp fix.
Hi Ken,

Hi,
I'm using Avg Antivirus Free version 17.3.3011. There is a file in the quarantine. Want to select it and do a restore. However, after selecting a file, it'll automatically deselect itself after a free seconds. Making it not able to restore the file. Is this a bug? Or am I the only one having this problem? This is a new install. The previous version does not have this problem.

However, on a positive note, my system's performance is much improved after the update from AVG 2016 (v16.151.8007).
This has now been sorted with version 17.4.3014(x64) (Build 17.4.3482.0). Also if you hover over an entry in the list then details are displayed; right-click an entry and you can copy the full path as well as the threat name.
Although some times the screen won't close (haven't figured out what triggers this, but the quarantine list some times promptly re-opens after clicking on close and then won't close at all), so you have to right-click task bar entry to close the GUI - but that's a minor irritation.
