Hello Jacob,
I am sorry to hear about this. To restore the file from quarantine, please follow the steps mentioned in this article ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Using-the-AVG-Quarantine ). Once you have restored it, please add that file to AVG exception list as per the steps mentioned in this article ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-make-exclusions-from-all-scans-and-shields ) and this will be a temporary fix. For the permanent fix, please report the false detection by AVG at https://www.avg.com/submit-sample . Our developers will check that and whitelist the file from AVG virus definitions.
If you are still unable to restore that file from quarantine, please share the screenshot of AVG quarantine to assist further.

Thank you.
I am using the free version of AVG (always have). Recently AVG blocked Maple 2017's server file "mserver.exe" and put it in quarentine, problem is I can't recover it from the quarentine. Whenever I select the file and open the drop (up?) menu and select recover I get a prompt for permissions to modify the file, but nothing happens and the file stays in quarentine. I have read some threads seeing the issue should be fixed by updating AVG, but that is not the case. I have the newest available version and the issue persists.
Both programs with quarentied filed would require a new license key in order to reinstall which I very much hope is not the only option..
Side note cdsMsgServer.exe (Cadense's server file) is also blocked.
Avinash,
I have checked the file location multiple times, but it does not get restored. I got a backup of the file, but I can't move to it the folder myself (even though I am admin).
Jacob,
It is possible that the file may get restored to original location but still shows in AVG quarantine folder as well. Please check the original file location once and let us know to assist you further.
