I see I am not the first to report the routine removal of my pinned folders from quick access whenever AVG maintenance/tuneup runs. I turned off maintenance from automatic runs and I no longer lost the folders. As soon as I manually ran the tuneup, my pinned folders unpinned. This is a big nuisance and obviously an AVG problem. What is the fix?

We regret the inconvenience caused.
I would like to inform you that I have consulted the situation with our development department again. In the end, we decided that we would not detect the folder where the Quick access information is located during the tests. This change should be visible as soon as possible.
Make sure the below option is unselected : Free Up space –> System Junk –> Program temp files –> Jump List temp files
