QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020 cannot send email due to firewall in AVG

I have recently updated to QuickBooks Desktop Pro and have fixed all email issues except "QuickBooks is unable to send the email since your anti-virus has blocked outgoing emails. Please click here on steps to resolve this issue."
I have done the steps they recommend and it did not fix the issue. 
If I turn off the outgoing email protection in AVG the email will send however I do not like leaving off the protection.
Any help will be appreciated.
