Hello Mark,
We would like to know the operating system of your computer.
We request you to uninstall AVG Secure VPN and keep monitoring the status.
If the problem did not occur then we can confirm that it happens when AVG Secure VPN is enabled.
We can then continue with the troubleshooting and resolve the issue.
For uninstallation, refer this article.
Keep us apprised about the status.
It is Windows 10 OS. I did uninstall the AVG Secure VPN, (which I had just purchased another 2 year plan.)
The problem has went away completely.
So after this morning's scan I thought maybe try to install it again beings I had repurchased it and it won't install at all. It's been over 2 hours "installing" on the computer.
This problem has been going on since 1/17. The computer randomly goes to No Internet Connection (and then the kids get to make the dinosaur jump the cactus)
After troubleshooting it will say Reset the "Secure VPN" adaptor which usually fails. This morning I uninstalled the VPN and reinstalled it and I thought everything was working fine, until, it just shut down again and I couldn't get back on the internet.
Ran the diagnostic test and it couldn't find the problem.
So went to Device Manager and looked at the list and saw the AVG TAP Adaptor v3 had a down arrow on it…
Help me please. How do I just keep the dang computer online when I'm using it!?!
(I already accidentally sent my external harddrive across the tile floor this morning and I need to have something positive happen to me computer wise today…)
We are sorry to hear this, Rena.
We will help you to resolve the issue.
