Hello Joellen,
I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please open AVG Internet Security -> click on Menu -> Ransom ware protection. On the Ransom ware protection window, click on  "Protected folders" and remove the folders by clicking on 'x' when you move your cursor on an entry.

Hi,  I'm on Windows 7 with Microsoft Excel Starter.  When I bring up any of my Excel spreadsheets they are now "read only".  I can't turn this Read Only off.  I've disabled Ransomware and restarted, that didn't help.  I've enable Smart Mode and still it is read only and it is not smart enough to let me change my own documents !   This is soooooooooooooooo frustrating.  Please help, thanks so much for your help, time and efforts it is appreciated.
