Just installed paid for version of AVG (painful process for the first time in 30+ years of using a Win PC I had to phone the help desk!!!) its got:
Ransomware and Data Safe

So if i use Ransomware what happens to my files (both the originals and those on Backup) if i need to copy or restore to or from a machine that does NOT have AVG installed or my AVG account is unavailable?

Data Safe - not sure what the point of this is its Windows, its got BitLocker baked in!!!
