Hello Corina,
I'm sorry to hear about this. I request you to allow WinRAR application with AVG ransomware protection (open AVG Internet Security > menu > ransomware protection > allow/block > allow WinRAR application), save the settings, reboot your computer once and check if your WinRAR application is working fine with enabled AVG Internet Security. If the issue still persist, please share a screenshot of the AVG ransomware detection to assist you further. You can check the following link to see the instructions about taking the screenshot (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot).
Best regards,
Alok.

After unzipping a file, AVG showed a message saying that WinRAR was trying to modify/delete a file in my Documents folder, and asked me if I wanted to block WinRAR, which I did. Then I run the antivirus, and no virus was found. So, is my computer infected by ransomware? And can I unblock WinRAR safely and set it as a trusted application? I really need access to WinRAR…
Thanks! It seems to be working fine.
