Don, open your AVG Internet security and click on' Hacker attacks'.
Then click on allowed apps and add the documents which you want to access.
Hello Don,
We will help you with the necessary information.
Can you provide us the screenshot of the message you receive?
I am asking this question on behalf of my father in law.
He is unable to open any documents in libre office. When he tries to open them, a message appears stating that the file is open by another user.
Based on previous queries by other users we have determined that this is due to the ransomware protection of AVG internet security. If we turn ransomware protection off, libre office is able to open the files.
According to documentation I have read online, we need to click on the blocked/allowed apps tab and remove libre office. However, when we go to Ransomware protection there are no tabs. The only option is to turn Ransomware protection on or off.
We get to ransomware protection in AVG internet security by clicking menu and components, then choose ransomware protection on the left.
How do I find the tab for blocked/allowed apps?
Thanks
Don
