Hi James,
We're glad to look into this & help you.
Initially, we'd like to clarify that your computer would be protected against emerging threats & hackers with AVG Internet Security installed on it.
From your description, it possibly seems to be a scam email. As a precautionary measure, we'd suggest you to change your email account password to ensure that it isn't compromised & ignore the email.
Additionally, you can run a boot time scan using AVG program, if you're still concerned.
For further queries, feel free to write back to us.
I received an Email today 22/12/21 telling me that the blackmailer had installed a Trojan Horse virus to my operating system that I use to access my Email account. They say that the software allows the blackmailer access to all my computing devices, camera and keyboard etc. They are demanding money from me or they will do something bad to my computer system.
The Email came from:-

Have any of you people heard of this blackmailer before? How do I report it to AVG or the Internet authorities.
