Sometimes, this might happen if few services are unable to initiate or due to the presence of other antivirus on your computer.
In this regard, we'd suggest you to check & remove if there are any other antivirus installed.
If there are no other antivirus, please try repairing AVG program once to check if it helps.

Aer last update, every time i restart or turn on computer, my ransomwere protection is turned off so i have to turn it on manualy. EVERY. TIME.
