Are you unable access the program after you put it on sleep mode?

It says "No Problem" [in so many words] -- go ahead, put those background programs to sleep -- you can trust us!

WRONG!

I was suspicious, but I tried it, a few days ago.  Today I realized I hadn't, for awhile, seen the FreeFileSync program task-icons.  So, I took a look in the [Win 10] Task Scheduler.  And... WTF!  All three of my FFSync tasks were disabled!!  Again...WTF?!?!

Also, a task that does clean up on a Raspberry PI home webserver was disabled!!! For the third time WTF?!?

Apparently the AVG policy is: If we don't know what it is -- DISABLE IT!

So, I offer this as a cautionary tale for all.
