RE : AVG Secure Browser @ ERROR in Event Viewer ( Side by Side )

I Uninstalled AVG Secure Browser as it showed a ERROR : EVENT 33 ( Side by Side ) in the EVENTS VIEWERS SUMMARY of ADMINISTRATIVE EVENTS. ( Below is what event viewer states ). Go figure ???
activation context generation failed for C:\Program Files\AVG\Browser\Application\76.0.870.10\aswEngineConnectr.dll.
Dependent Assembly  Avast.VC140,CRT , processor architecture = x86 public KeyToken=fee99ee6193ebbca, Type=win32, version=14.0.76706.0 could not be found.
Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

sxstrace.exe is of no real use if one does not know how to use it.

  • I use Windows 7 Pro Sp 1 with with all the Important Updates and Service Packs installed..
  • I use Google Chrome mainly ( set as my Default Browser ) and occasionally for certain purposes i used AVG Secure Browser.
  • As i don`t like seeing errors in the Event Viewer related to this i have now Uninstalled AVG  Secure Browser. which has now stopped this error from appearing and propagating.
My Question is what is causing this ERROR : EVENT 33 ( Side by Side ) and how to stop it ???
It seems that AVG Secure Browser has a underlying problem and or issue to keep producing this error which needs to be fixed.
  • This Error seems to propagate ( repeat ) itself over and over whilst the computer is running leaving many and the same entries over a period of time. whilst the computer is running as if AVG Secure Browser was connecting itself to the Net and searching for something at certain periods but not finding anything and then produces this event.
Please, AVG / AVAST Management and Developers test and fix your products.

I am sure there are millions of people out there who don`t even know this is happening in behind the scenes of their computers slowing them down.

Thank you for your fast response.
In regards to this error i will re-install AVG Secure Browser at some Later Date and continue to monitor it via the Events Viewer to see if it still produce the same error.
At the moment without AVG Secure Browser installed the Error does no longer manifest itself in multiples.
I too believe that for some reason it did not update correctly going by the cryptic error left behind in the Event Viewer and may possibly have left behind some corrupted files or dll.
Kind regards.
Frank.

Hello Frank,
We realize this must be upsetting and will definitely look into this for you.
These errors indicate that there were some program files may be out of date, corrupted, or missing. However, we are uncertain about the exact cause. Reinstalling the browser would have fixed the issue as it will reset the software configuration. We request you to reinstall the browser as mentioned here and monitor the event viewer. If you encounter with the same error, please share the screenshot of the event viewer here. We would also collect some additional information (if required) and escalate it to our next level of support team for analysis.
