Re-installing avg

Sylvia, Have a look @ this AVG article (http://avgclick.me/howtoreinstallAVG). Use the AVG Remover Tool Tip to be sure all previous AVG is removed.

My computer repair man uninstalled  my AVG because my desk top resolution kept going back to 8 bits ( don't really see the connection) and replaced it with a trial period AVG programme.  I now need to re-install AVG - do I need to uninstall the trial programme first?
